Afterwards when you connect FireRed or LeafGreen with Ruby,Sapphire or Emerald by trading or something that connects both games that annoying battery is dry error should disappear and the clock based events should work again. You need to play Fire Red/Leaf Green and fix the computer with the gems. Battery has ran dry and clock based events don't occur.
